Angel is quite the heartbreaker! At less than 20 pounds when he arrived, he is still the smallest of his herd. We can’t help ourselves when it comes to belly rubs, and he doesn’t seem to mind them either!
Bubblegum was the weakest of our goats after the terrible conditions he lived his past life in. But with lots of care, affection, and goodies, Bubblegum is getting much better (although it’s hard to imagine how he could possibly get any sweeter)!
Captain Sparrow is named after the pirate because of his deformed front leg, which must have grown incorrectly after an injury during his time at the abusive farm he was rescued from. Although it looks painful, Captain Sparrow grazes and hangs out with his brother Dos Equis without a complaint. We’ll continue to provide veterinary care to find the best fix for his leg!
Caramel is an unmistakable little-one here at the sanctuary! Even though he’s still shy, it’s hard not to fall in love with him, with such an adorable face and big belly!
Clarice gets her name from It’s A Wonderful Life after she arrived at the sanctuary with a bell around her neck. Although this bell may have been malice when she was at her old abusive farm, the joyful ringing of her arrival immediately found us saying “every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.” While Clarice no longer wears her bell, we can’t deny that she’s an angel!
Cookie is a shy boy, but that doesn’t stop him from being lovable! He’s usually hanging out with his buddy Caramel in the field, and his cool coloring makes him an eye-catcher!
Cupid is such a cutie, look at those ears! Cupid has his posse of friends that he spends most of the day with, but he’s always willing to come get treats!
Dos Equis is Captain Sparrow’s best friend, and if they aren’t biological brothers they certainly should be! Whenever Captain Sparrow needs to take a break because of his leg, Dos Equis is right there with him. And Dos Equis is always ready to get some love from the humans as well!
Elvis is a good boy, and funny too! Ever since his first hours at the sanctuary, Elvis’ favorite place to lounge around is in an empty kiddie pool in their yard. He always looks for good locations to lay down, like under cars or on tables!
Fawn is small compared to the other males, so he gets to spend his time with our cute baby goats! Although Fawn is still very shy of people, he always takes care of the babies when they’re in their barn at night.
Flossie is friends with our whole gang of babies! And just as irresistably cute!
Giselle is starting to warm up to her humans here at the sanctuary! Although she had a rough start while transitioning from her previous life of abuse, we decided she needed a glamorous name for the glamorous girl we know she is!
Huckleberry Finn (Huck for short) is quite shy of humans still. Little by little he is learning to trust humans again and will even come up for a head rub now and again.
Jasper is the biggest of the bunch – but don’t let his big horns and long beard intimidate you! Jasper is one of the friendliest and outgoing goats, and enjoys all the attention he gets as a crowd favorite!
You would never know about the past that Koda (short for Kodachrome) has had based on how she acts. She is always greeting people and loves to give a helping hand no matter what you’re doing!
Mama is a big girl with a big heart! Among her favorite things are head rubs, just put your hand out and she’ll do the rest. Momma had a secret when she arrived and was lucky enough to have her last two babies here at Tamerlaine Farm. She will never have her babies taken away from her again and the whole family will spend the rest of their lives together in sanctuary.
Max is the best boy anyone could ask for. Sweet and gentle, he is always by your side, interested in what you’re doing and how he can get some extra love!
Much like the rest of the males here at the sanctuary, Merlin is very loving. With his curly-q hairstyle, he has become quite the charmer too!
Nelson, or Nellie, is Ophelia and Giselle’s best friend, and they can often be seen grazing with each other or running through the fields together!
A pretty name for a pretty girl! Ophelia is very sweet and doesn’t mind getting attention from the humans, but she especially likes to hang out with her friends Giselle and Nellie.
Named after Indiana Jones, little Indy was living all alone in the woods where her previous owner had dumped her. She was as wild as a deer and so scared when she first arrived. As soon as she saw the herd of goats that would soon become her friends she calmed down immediately. A little shy of humans still she has many goat friends now and is happy and safe.
