Help us fence in our cow pasture!

Fencing is very expensive business and when you have 336 acres the amount of fencing you need can seem overwhelming.  We have managed to keep our fencing costs low because we actually learned how to do the fencing ourselves.  I will say that we have gotten pretty darn good at it.  Doing the fencing yourself cuts the costs by two thirds.  We have worked together with our amazing volunteer core to put up most of the fencing on our current property and we will do the same at our new property.  Slowly but surely we will as a community, fence in all of the animal habitats.  We are starting with the cows our first new residents at the farm.

Currently they are in a smaller paddock that was fine for the winter months but now they need to roam the expansive area they will be calling their home.  We already have a generous donor who will match every dollar up to $5000.00.  With $10,000 we will be able to buy the materials for the first of many future fencing projects.  We will need to put up thousands of feet of fencing in order to move all our almost 200 animals to the new farm.  Any amount you can give will go a long way to giving our cows the best space to roam ever!

Do let us know if you would like to volunteer for our fencing project.  It's fun to work side by side with like minded people toward the same goal!  You get the instant gratification of knowing your hard work will help the lives of animals as you watch the fence line go up!
